Classes
IMPROV CLASS
This Interactive Improv Class is specifically designed to engage seniors. The Laughter On Call team uses tried and true comedy exercises to encourage participants to use their imagination, keep their minds sharp and, of course, laugh together. There are no wrong answers, just an opportunity to enjoy time with their peers experiencing the spontaneous use of their imagination. These classes serve the dual function of keeping students' minds flexible and spirits lightened! As the class progresses, participants craft personal stories and write sketches.
- $200-$400 per class, based on the number of students and length of workshop
- Classes held virtually and in person
- Optional class performance every 2 months, either in-person or virtually

STAND-UP CLASS
A class for Seniors interested in learning Stand up comedy from a professional. Curriculum is based on Dani’s Stand up class taught at UCLA, including comedians’ tools like ranting, crowd work and the rule of 3’s! This class gives structure to people who have been told they are funny their whole lives! As the class progresses, participants craft a 5-minute set to entertain their communities and their families.
- $200-$400 per class, based on the number of students and length of workshop
- Classes currently held virtually and in person
- Optional class performance every 2 months, either in-person or virtually

MEMOIR CLASS
In this series of hour-long workshops, participants are prompted by specific questions to recount the most significant events of their lives. The written stories in these classes unfold like great novels told by the people who lived them, each a unique piece of history. Another benefit of these meetings are the relationships and sense of community that participants gain, a much welcome by-product of sharing the details of their lives.
- $200-$400 per class, based on the number of students and length of workshop
- Classes currently held virtually and in person

FAQ
Is this for carepartners or the elderly themselves?
We have services for both. We have training, Happier Hours for carepartners, one-on-one options, and group interactive storytelling for the elderly.
My parent/loved one tends to be very angry or upset. How will this work for them?
We incorporate music, pictures, dance, and physical comedy. We also use an intake form to know exactly who they are and what they like or dislike. We validate their feelings. We don't tell them they are wrong and don't shame them ever. We always meet them where they are.
