Laughter on Call is SEVEN!
We’re so grateful for a wonderful ride! We’ve laughed, we’ve cried - we survived COVID and grew in wonderful and unexpected ways.
Some fast facts: we’ve worked with over 600 companies and taught thousands of carepartners how to create laughter where you least expect it. We’ve run bi-lingual events in Mexico and Los Angeles and sent comedians to states from Alabama to Oregon and at least 12 others in between.
We’ve played to audiences of five on ZOOM, and thousands in person in Denver and Los Angeles. We’ve run highly informative webinars with leaders in Alzheimer’s like Dr. Scott Kaiser and communication/leadership experts including Alison Fragale and Allison Wood Brooks. We’ve also formed a fiscal sponsorship relationship with Lauren & Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity and their amazing team. Donations to Laughter On Call to support our senior services are now welcome! And we’re very excited about our most recent partners at CaringKind.
What’s up next? SO MUCH…
This fall, I’ll be giving a TEDx talk in Cape May, NJ with the theme of “Being Human.” Working title “What If Alzheimer’s Doesn’t Mean the End of Laughter?” I’ll also be running workshops at TUCK for second year MBA students who want to learn to lead with levity. I’ll head to Oregon after that to get back to my “Take My Spouse, Please,” roots facilitating a couples workshop for Vistage couples. Before Thanksgiving I’ll be making a stop at MoMa in NYC as part of their “Meet Me at MoMa” conference. This will be two days bringing together all people in the arts supporting the Alzheimer’s community. In between that I’ll be lucky enough to travel with Nikki Ghisel delivering laughter-filled workshops for those in the senior space at both CALA and ICAA.
Now for the super fun news.
As a company there have been four engagements and three weddings! I am blessed to have a team of unicorns, all truly gifted artists who are compassionate, conscientious, considerate and without whom I’d be buried in handwritten piles of notes. It means the world to me to have real history with each of you:
Olivia Saperstein, Jeneta St. Claire, Nikki Ghisel, Stefanie Estes, Lauren Pritchard, Sydney Adeniyi, Joe Kardon and Brian Rousso.
It’s easy to be upset right now and feel out of sorts. Which makes us even more committed to bringing laughter that creates connection to you, our ever-growing audience.
